NEXT STEP, SECTOR V! COPY IT?



About game status:

Sorry for the delay, guys! 
My VX Ace Maker RPG had a very weird problem: It closed every time I went to edit the tilesets in the game! Luckily,I finally managed (apparently) to solve that little problem...

Now for what everyone was waiting for...
Well, I decided to move (again... Sorry!) in the game tutorial (i.e. your previous save will not work anymore! a new one will have to be created, because the last map is totally modified), I decided to leave it a little more "balanced", starting with face missions (From Computress and Ben to Rex) and then missions a little bit average (These are all missions of N. A.N.O. missions that this time are given by Samurai Jack) and finally a mission to complete the tutorial once and for all called "Fall of Tech Square" which is divided into two parts: one to help Buttercup against some fusions in sequence and another to escape Tech Square with Numbuh Two and Numbuh Five! 

Some things have been added, like the EXP bar being shown in the main menu, some small changes in the main menu to make it more beautiful and enjoyable, life in enemies, damage sounds in the player and his allies, changes in levels in enemies (now we'll have a tutorial with enemies from Lv1 to Lv4 visibly), adjustments in the hits different from the usual allies (who now don't use every holy hour, only when possible and/or necessary), slightly more intelligent enemies and many other things...

What's coming next update:
  • - New 3 Nanos: Finn,Numbuh Two and Eddy!
  • New Equipment: Time Squad Set (from the first DEMO of the game)
  • New Enemies: Cyberus, Toxical Spawn, Infernal Cyberus and many others
  • New locations: Sector V, Pokey Oak North, Pokey Oak South, Peach Creak Commons, Candy Cove and Genius Groove. (Others will come as soon as possible, but for now be sure that at least Pokey Oak North, Pokey Oak South and Peach Creak Commons will be in this next update)
  • Possibility of finding enemies of Lv1-3 in Sector V!
  • Enemies can be encountered by walking on the map. For the missions they will have their own sprites!
  • Probably all of The Future's world missions in Sector V will be in-game, of course with some basic engine changes.
  • Withdrawal of the free running system! Soon you will be able to use some item or N.A.N.O. to run for some calculated time (About N.A.N.O. if placed, it will have a different power than usual "Run").

THE NEW DEMO IS ALMOST READY!



After doing a lot of research with the project's fans and reflecting better on how the initial demo of the game turned out,I decided to follow the ideas better and redo the whole demo! This time with much more gameplay time,but also much more explanatory and less confusing,including a little mission replacement,N.A.N.O.s. and much more stuff...

Some things have been changed:

Initially I only intended to create the N.A.N.O.s. list after completing the demo officially,but I decided to add more things and here is a video showing the 72 N.A.N.O.s confirmed so far for the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy4wfN9bvzo

As you can see (or not,depends on how your Youtube is and if your internet is good,different from mine these days),we have some changes in the placements of certain N.A.N.O.s in relation to the original game,especially to make more sense,but almost all the missions already in the game will not be changed,trying to relive the missions of the original game.

What about N.A.N.O.s by codes? What about the N.A.N.O. Numbuh Two from the last demonstration:

As demonstrated in the video made, I commented that the N.A.N.O.s created in the original game (before its official closing), will be placed in levels as the original game would have before the update before Birthday Bash. About N.A.N.O. Numbuh Two,I decided to put it more in front of the tutorial,because,many fans of the game didn't like it so quickly,and sincerely preferred N.A.N.O. Rex (From the cartoon "Generator Rex"),which was added in the tutorial after the academy update. In the future there may be a small possibility to include out-of-league N.A.N.O.s as larger rewards in exclusive mini-games and perhaps some races (which will be put into the game in the future) in infected zones.

We want to give N.A.N.O.S. missions for the game:

And yes, you can give ideas! Just comment your ideas in the video comments or post them on the "Fanmade" page of the blog! We'll review your ideas (and other related stuff) in this session. You can also contact the team members on Facebook,our Discord server and in the future,if possible also on Twitter.I just hope no one's going to be out on a limb or making a fool of themselves if their ideas aren't in the game. It may be that they'll be put further ahead,because that would work at another point in the game process or we haven't had how to put them yet,but all of them will be read and saved.

Changes in the history of the game, new mechanics and gameplay:

We won't change much the history of the game,actually,we'll try to implement more content to make the game make some sense (especially in the tutorial,because it never made any sense for you to appear just in the middle of the rubble after the opening of the game,and even with small explanations from Dexter,it wasn't very clear to many). We will completely change the tutorial to suit the N.A.N.O.S. but we will not remove the Academy or if you want the system of The Future/The Past,in fact,the idea here,is simply to mix the two in one (something that if the original game had done,would work much better in my vision). All the missions of the original game should be in the game,this includes special missions with commemorative dates (like Christmas,Halloween,Valentine's Day and Thanksgiving). Some additional quests will be put in to give more content to future N.A.N.O.s missions and future story manipulation that was never completed,unfortunately thanks to the closing of the original game and its incredible rebirth with "Fusionfall Retro".Some mechanics of the original game will be "discarded" because of my not very much improved knowledge about the VX Ace Maker RPG engine.Some of them will be the necessary jumps (this means that N.A.N.O.S with "Rocket" and "Jump" will not have those powers), field effects (like "Run", "Radar" and "Sneak") will be modified to be activated only in battles and the possibility to evolve from level with monster experience (in those cases, they will only give i. C.R.E.A.T.E.s and Taros) field (Only monsters related to missions will give experience, except in the tutorial).

READY FOR BATTLE? THEN LET'S GO TO THE FIELD!

Differentiating a little from the original, but without losing its essence, the game FusionFall: Regain will have new mechanics, new missions and of course, many new NPCs, N.A.N.O.S. and new enemies during their development! Let's check out the new three N.A.N.O.S. Demo primary?

N.A.N.O. Buttercup


It will not have much difference with the original version of the game, but stay tuned, as its 'Scavenge' power has not been tested yet, and in the first demo of the game, it is not yet possible to change the powers of the N.A.N.O.S.

N.A.N.O. Numbuh Two


My first test to improve the powers of the N.A.N.O.S. and compatibility with the engine. I replaced the power of "Run" with one of "Treasure" as the power would already be used for N.A.N.O. Computress later on as her initial power. The second power of "Recall" was also removed because this power will probably be difficult to make in the game or would be quite useless for battles in this engine, so I changed it to "Guard", in this case this power was also improved ... How there are no "Nano Potions" in the game (I don't know if this will be permanent), it will have the effect of increasing magical defenses for five turns.

N.A.N.O. Computress


As an extra detail, she is my N.A.N.O. FusionFall's favorite: Retro, but her powers left something to be desired, although I didn't use her long before the game closed. For this reason, I decided to recreate all her powers, starting with "Run" that will give her an increase in her current speed for five turns, "Damage" that makes her attack a powerful blow on an enemy and of course, "Freedom "that will give you increased physical defense for five turns.

Helper NPC? How does it work!
It is very simple, nothing much different from the idea created for the original game. Basically on certain missions, one (or more) NPC will temporarily join your group to complete a certain mission, after completing it, they will leave your group and give you the mission reward. You can expect some N.A.N.O missions with the help of Dexter, Buttercup and Numbuh Two in the first Demo!

And the songs? Will they be from the original game or will you compose them?
Some of them, I will use the original game, since the playlist is public and for some apparent reason Cartoon Network has so far not opposed using them in videos or games. Other cases, such as battle themes involving enemies like Fusion Numbuh Two, will have their songs changed to improved and remixed versions, somewhat somber, very FusionFall style, by Daniel Dos Santos, a great friend of mine, and a great value composer to the game!

Do you intend to create sprites for the game or are you going to get some from the internet?
Well, I intend to look for someone who can make them for me for free (either for reasons of not being able to use sprites right or for lack of money at all, I can't create any form of profit for this project at all). If not, I will have to create or modify them. If that happens, don't expect anything good or beautiful, as I am a terrible spriter ...

Will there be only 36 levels in the game like the original FusionFall?
No. My plan is to create more than 36 levels, but this will only be possible according to my and my team's performance. My goal is to reach at least 36 levels and expand to level 99, that is, the maximum achieved by the engine naturally.

"WE HAVE THE TOOLS,YOU HAVE THE TALENT!"

That's right! This game promises to be nothing more than a fangame of (at least for me) the best game ever made by Cartoon Network! Cartoon Network: Fusion Fall has been one of the great milestones of many people over the years, and after its closure, many tried to recreate the game in their own way, as did Devan who created the fabulous FusionFall Retro and FusionFall Legacy game with his fabulous team, but due to bad languages ​​of fate, he had to close this fabulous and more than perfect game on behalf of Cartoon Network. Since then, I decided to recreate the game in my vision, based on the original game.

I hope you like this game made in RPG Maker VX Ace! My goal is to finish what Devan and his partners were unable to finish thanks to certain legal reasons that could not be undone (at least not easily). I am also counting on you to help me create this game, which I wonder if it will be the game that will make the RPG Maker VX Ace reach its limit?
